Playing around with some new ideas; a definite work in progress but I’m kinda feeling this hand painted, silk screened sweatshirt. ✨🤷🏼♀️✨

Oh you guys, it’s here again. It’s been one hell of a year. On a broader world level, 2017 was not a great one.
One a personal level, 2017 was a big one. This last year has brought huge changes for me, and I hope that is going to be something I carry with me into the next year. I quit my job, I moved four states away from the home I had built for the last five years, I thought a lot, and had the space to figure out what I want to do next.
So this time around I’m not going to make any sweeping resolutions. Just a quiet, everyday sort of resolve to do the best I can; to be more patient & kind. To make new work, that is good and bad, finished & unfinished. To figure out where the edge of my comfort level is & to decide to step just slightly over it.
2018 is starting off for me with two artist residencies; one in the Midwest & one in Iceland(!); it’s not a bad start. 💥 💁🏼♀️ Happy New Years you guys! Let’s see what’s coming next.
The day after Xmas
Very cold in the studio, but very exciting to be working on something new & one of a kind (for a change). 🎨&🤶🏻
The shortest day of the year in my cold, snowy corner of the globe. Happy solstice guys! ❄️🌲🌔
